Erol Türkün Was born in Bursa in 1950. Being third generation of a family that is involved in textile, he had completed his primary education in Bursa and studied high school in İstanbul Austrian High School.
After completing his advanced studies on Textile Engineering in Germany, Erol Türkün started off his industry life under his own name with a small fund supplied by his father. In such short notice, Erol Türkün managed to seize a line of success and opened up his first factory at 1983 in Bursa Organized Industrial Area, and founded 'Vanelli Foreign Trade Company' in 1989 that has a great role on becoming a world brand. Through well directed decisions he made, Erol Türkün brought his second factory into being which is active on cloth, dye and dressing area in the name of 'Türkün Textile'. Later, Erol Türkün added Mega Textile A.Ş. into his integrated facilities chain in 1993, which is mainly focused on polyester yarn shrinkage, twisting and net curtain weaving.
Today, he's the owner of 11 establishments with 650 employees working on yarn dying-preparing, weaving ,piece dying, printing, finisihing, ready made and both domestic & abroad marketing for textiles. Different from textile business he is in yachting and construction business under the roof of TURKUN HOLDING.
Türkün, who converts industrialism into an art through combining high quality with aesthetics, is the owner of leading foundation that offers upholstery and drapery under brand of VANELLI to world and supplier partner to world's prominent firms. In addition, he continues activities on home textile and decoration products retail market through DECO CENTER chain stores.
Long since he's been a member to many non-governmental organizations and fulfilled his duty as the chairman of Bursa Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association for 2 sessions.
Erol Türkün knows English, German and Italian languages. He's married with Tülin Türkün and father of 3 children, named Aslı, Sadi Cem and Serra.
